This decorative tin plate is inspired from a Sévres service given as a diplomatic gift by King Louis XVI of France to the Duchess of Manchester, the wife of the British Ambassador to the court of Versailles. The occasion was the signature of the Treaty of Versailles which brought an end to the War of American Independence.

Camille says: "These plates are incredible! They are made of lightweight tin, so you won't worry about expensive replacements or breaking one. They're perfect for tea parties with little guests, although I will happily serve to adults on them. The design is quite pretty in person with very convincing gold metallic accents. My only caveat is not to let them stay wet-- the metal WILL rust if you don't hand wash and dry thoroughly."
