Do you embroider on customer-provided items?

Yes, on an extremely limited basis. Quality embroidery on unique customer-provided items requires additional time and attention as well as risk, and we do our best to ensure the best possible outcome, even if that means declining to work on your item. Please only bring brand new items or, if apparel, freshly washed items. We strive to keep our studio and equipment as clean as possible.

To start the process, e-mail info@cfazel.com or text 918.212.4983 with a photo or link to the item you'd like embroidered. Items can be shipped to the studio or dropped off by appointment. Online booking for studio appointments is available here.

We may at times close acceptance of customer-provided items to give time to fulfill product orders.

 

How long is your turnaround time?

We typically run a 3 week turnaround time. Orders are processed in a "first come, first served" queue based on payment date. 

C. Fazel products have priority turnaround. Items purchased by or through us are processed in an accelerated queue with an estimated 2-3 week turnaround. Customer drop-offs will be processed with an estimated 3-4 week estimated turnaround time. These processing times may change as our workload fluctuates.

When possible, we offer a $25 per item "skip the line" rush fee to have your order jumped to the front of the line. This typically results in a 2-3 business day turnaround. After hours (weekend and holidays) and same-day rush, when available, are subject to a $75 per item fee. The C. Fazel homepage provides the most up-to-date turnaround time information.

 

How much does your embroidery cost?

C. Fazel products will always be the best value in terms of embroidery. This is because with our own items, we have already put in the time to learn what designs will work and how best to stitch the item. With customer-provided items, we are often starting from scratch and devoting a lot of time to creating a custom design, ensuring it stitches well, and assuming responsibility for an unfamiliar item.

Custom embroidery prices start at $20 per item and are based on a rough formula of number of stitches and number of colors used. 

 

Are there any items you don't embroider on?

We do not accept: baseball caps, finished pillow shams (Fabric before it is sewn into a sham is fine), lunchboxes, or any item that would require removal of stitches to access the back side of it. We cannot accept Christmas stockings with narrow, tight openings. We do not recommend embroidery on t-shirts. 

The machine cannot go in tight pockets. If there is a pocket on the reverse side of the material you are wanting embroidered, the embroidery will close that pocket. Some materials are not conducive to machine embroidery. Our maximum embroidery size is 14"x16". Very large designs will likely require a custom set-up fee.

 

I have a logo I'd like embroidered on something. Can you do that?

Embroidery machines cannot read regular image files (.jpg, .png, .pdf). The Logo Setup Fee to convert an image to embroidery format starts at $45. Especially complicated or difficult to convert files will require an additional Logo Optimizing Fee of $35. Once that file is created, you will own it, and it can be used in that size indefinitely. 

We have recently encountered many logos created with AI using effects such as ombre color schemes, digital metallic effects, and ultra-fine lines. These logos are extremely difficult to convert to an embroidery file, and we may be unable to accept them.

 

What embroidery options are available?

We have a huge collection of high quality monograms, fonts, designs, and threads. We have "menus" available for some items, but because different fonts and designs only work in certain sizes, it is impossible for us to provide a one-size-fits-all catalog of all items. Feel free to look through our Instagram or send photos of other embroidery you like. You can even search embroidery files online and inquire about having us stitch them. 

Scheduling an in-person studio appointment is the best way to see as many options as possible. 

 

I have an idea for a logo. Can you create it for me?

No. We do not offer logo design services. We ask that you have a logo already created for us to stitch it. We cannot combine our existing embroidery fonts and motifs to shortcut a logo design.

 

I saw a design online that I want you to embroider. Can you do that?

Yes, in most cases. There are thousands of amazing embroidery designs available for purchase online that we just don't own (yet!). If you see something you like, we can purchase it and stitch it out. We cannot embroider licensed designs (such as sorority/fraternity letters, pro sports teams, etc.). If you see an exact finished item on Etsy that you'd like us to replicate, we prefer to respect other artists' work and advise that you purchase from the artist who originally created the item. 

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit card, Paypal, and Apple Pay through invoicing on the website. No cash is accepted at the physical store. Payment is required before an order is placed in our queue.

 

What if an item is damaged in the embroidery process?

We are human, and our machines are...well, machines. In the unlikely event that damage occurs or a mistake is made, we will issue store credit for up to $50 for the cost of the damaged item. Please do not drop off anything irreplaceable or for which up to $50 store credit will not adequately compensate you.
