2-initial monogram is custom-embroidered on the back of the hat as shown. It is normal for some of the paper hat to show through monogram thread due to hat texture. You may also notice residue from stabilizing material used in the embroidery process. This residue is water soluble and will eventually deteriorate or may be removed with water.
